What are your services Like?

Weekly Sunday Worship is at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday. You can expect a service that will be about one-hour long, centered on the reading of Bible passages and a sermon. The traditional style of service mixes group and individual prayer together with a mix of classic and more contemporary hymns, all of which you are welcome to participate in as you feel comfortable. APC is a place where special music is encouraged, so don’t be surprised to see top notch special performances in an otherwise typical Sunday service.

After every service, you are welcome to join in our “fellowship time” where all are invited to talk, share in some light refreshments , and bond as a church family.

Please note that you are encouraged to come as you are. Church is not a place for perfect people to look perfect. It is a place for people to seek God and each other in meaningful relationship because we all fall short of perfection and need a Savior.

How Can I learn more about the church or Get connected?

Come and visit to start. You will not be called on to stand up or make it known that you are a visitor, but you will have the opportunity to talk to the people around you. Come up and see the pastor after the service or join the fellowship hour for some light refreshments.

Fill out a Guest Card in the pew and let that be your offering. There is a place for you to put some contact information so that an elder, deacon or the pastor can reach out to you. Don’t worry, you will not be put on a mailing or call list. The intent is to share with you as much information as you wish to have. You can also email the church here.

If bring my children, what should I expect?

During Sunday service there is a nursery for young children (5 and under) and after the service, we offer a Christian Education program for school-aged children that runs from September to June from 10:30 to 11:30, during fellowship.

The nursery during the regular Sunday service is staffed with volunteers from the church who seek to make you and your child comfortable and secure in our dedicated environment. You will be asked to sign your child in and only the person who signed the child in will be authorized to pick that child up. Our goal is the safety and security of your little ones so that you can have peace of mind and enjoy the service.

The Christian Education program after the regular Sunday service features a coordinated curriculum put together by church staff and volunteers to build on the Sunday worship experience and help inspire young people to love and serve. Classes will be available for children Grades K-3, Grades 4-7, and Grades 7+. The older group will also have the opportunity to participate in a Confirmation program to make a profession of faith and become full members in the church.

We welcome children of any age to stay and participate in the weekly inter-generational worship service with the adults, knowing that their voices truly are a joyful noise.

Please note that all volunteers are under the supervision of the pastor and Christian Education Coordinator, are subject to background checks, and are governed by the church’s Child Protection Policy.
