“Lord, I lift your name on high, Lord, I love to sing your praises. I’m so glad you’re in my life, I’m so glad you came to save us. You came from heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross, my debt to pay; from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky; Lord, I lift your name on high.” ~ “Lord, I lift Your Name on High” by Rick Founds (Hymn 88)

Family Worship will take place this Sunday at 9:30.  Some of our Sunday School youth will be singing with our Praise Band.  Others will lead in various parts of the service.  Liturgical Dancers will perform at 9:30 and 11:00.  Pastor will be speaking from John 4:5-42.

The Power of Silence – Read Psalm 33:13-22

Sitting here in the warmth of my home while resting and reading, I can hear wind and rain lashing against the trees outside. I feel relaxed after my rest, and my eyes peer around the room at the picture on the wall and the familiar objects. Everything is still, this moment too precious to lose. My body becomes absolutely still as well. I can see my Bible next to me and several texts about peace and stillness come to my mind.

It may be stressful and noisy outside with all the constant pressures of this life, but in here I feel that I can actually touch the silence. I was feeling tired and low, and I needed a little space, a pause. Now I feel strength coming into me, and even more a deep happiness, different from the highs and lows of human happiness. A blessedness enfolds me as I rest in God's everlasting arms.
