“I believe in Jesus, I believe He is the Son of God. I believe He died and rose again. I believe He paid for us all. And I believe that He’s here now, standing in our midst. Here with the power to heal now, and the grace to forgive.” ~ “I Believe in Jesus” by Marc Nelson (Hymn #675)

Life’s Mazes – Read Isaiah 43:1-5

We went to pick apples one warm October day. My grandson, Corey, wanted to walk through the Maize Maze, a series of pathways cut into a cornfield on the farm. I told him to go ahead and that I would wait at the car. He insisted that I go through the maze with him. I told him that I would get lost if I tried to find my way through the field. Corey thought a minute and then said, "You won't be lost, Grandma. I'll be with you." How could I be lost if Corey knew where I was?

God has made the same promise: "Do not fear, for I am with you." "It is the LORD your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6). Through the maze of living, the floods of loss, the fire of trials, the desert of loneliness, I will never be lost because God is with me. How can I possibly be lost when God is with me at all times?
