Plan on joining us as we celebrate the sacrament of communion at our Lord’s Table this Sunday. Pastor will be speaking from Matthew 18:21-35.
There will be a meeting for all parents of our elementary kids to introduce them to our youth programs at 9:30 Sunday morning in Madden Hall. Parents will move to the worship service around 9:50. This is your chance to ask questions, offer input and help make our programs better for your kids!
Our 2 Cents a Meal offering will be collected this Sunday. Please use the lunch containers at the sanctuary entrances for your donations.
Friends & Families will have its very first event this Sunday night. We will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a scavenger hunt and then a campfire on the end lot. This group is open to all who want to be a part, but specially designed for parents and their kids. See Priscilla or Bernadette.
Carol Kleiner is looking for more helpers to make PB & J sandwiches once a month for Sister Jean’s guests. If you would like to help out with this mission project, please let her know!
The Friends of Jean Webster will be hosting an evening at The Flying Cloud Café in Gardner’s Basin, Atlantic City on Wednesday, Sept. 24th, at 6 PM. Cost for the evening is $30 which includes a dinner buffet beginning at 6:30 PM. Advance ticket purchases will also include a strip of Chinese auction tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased that evening. Contact the church office.

Unity - Read John 17:20-26
The wooded slope was ablaze with autumn colors - fiery reds and oranges, vivid yellows and golds. Occasional splashes of green added to the chorus of color. God's masterpiece! I thought. Only God could create individual colors and blend them together to produce a landscape of breathtaking beauty like this.
The Body of Christ is like that multicolored forest. God has created individuals with unique personalities and expects us to work together, portraying unity for the world to see. Some people are visionaries, while others possess the ability to fulfill plans. Some folks are bubbly and impulsive while others are quiet by nature, proceeding only after careful thought and prayer. Some people are gifted leaders, while others prefer to serve behind the scenes. Our response to people's differences can strengthen unity or destroy it.
Does the world see unity when it looks at our churches? If not, what can we do to change that? Just as the hillside's colors combined to create a beautiful picture, so the Body of Christ is most glorious when we work together in unity.
